Person-Centred Photography for Older Adults - Celebrating Life, Presence and Connection
A photograph is not just what you see, it’s what you feel while being seen.
My photography creates a calm, person-centred space for older adults and their families to connect, reflect, and be seen for who they are.
I’ve spent over a decade working as a music facilitator and diversional therapist within the aged-care community, with a focus on dementia-specific care. Through creative, person-centred approaches, I learned to connect beyond words — and I bring the same approach to photography.
Each session follows the person’s own pace, resulting in portraits, candid moments, and visual stories that reflect presence, connection, and lived experience. I take time to learn about the person beforehand — their likes, personality, and how they engage with the world — so the session feels considered, personal, and respectful.
Whether at home or in an aged-care setting, I create a calm environment where portraits unfold naturally, without pressure or overwhelm. Every session begins with a gentle conversation to understand what matters most and plan a visit that feels right.
I work across the Macedon Ranges and beyond. If you’re a family member, friend, or an older adult yourself seeking a meaningful way to capture presence, connection, and story, I would love to hear from you.
