Person-Centred Photography for Older Adults - Celebrating Life, Presence and Connection

A photograph is not just what you see, it’s what you feel while being seen.

There's something powerful about being truly seen at every stage of life. My photography offers older adults a calm, person-centred space to connect, reflect, and be honoured for who they are.

For over a decade, I've worked as a music facilitator and diversional therapist across the Macedon Ranges and Melbourne, supporting people in residential care settings with a focus on dementia-specific care. I often met people in moments of restlessness or disconnection, times when presence and patience mattered most. Through music, art, movement, or simply quiet presence, I learned to connect beyond words, creating moments of recognition, calm, and joy.

I now bring that same approach to photography. I take time to learn about each person beforehand, their personality, interests, preferences, and what matters to them, so sessions unfold naturally and at their own pace. The result is a collection of portraits and candid moments that reflect their presence and lived experience.

Every session begins with a conversation — a chance to share stories and plan a visit that feels right.

Whether at home or in residential care settings, I work across the Macedon Ranges and beyond, and I’m always happy to travel.

I would love to hear from you.
